As a Solution and Vertical Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of marketing strategies that showcase 8x8’s unique combination of technological leadership and industry expertise. In this role, you will focus on developing compelling narratives that address horizontal use cases and elevating these into versatile messaging frameworks. These narratives will then be tailored and expanded into detailed vertical-specific use cases to resonate deeply with target industries. You will develop and maintain a strong understanding of customer challenges, use case scenarios, buyer ecosystems, purchase motivators, and personas to underpin the development of competitive differentiation for sales, inform product roadmap decisions, and create impactful, relevant content. To evangelize 8x8’s position in the marketplace, you will leverage various outlets, including blogging, social media, the website, press, industry events, presentations, data sheets, white papers, videos, primary and secondary research, and customer case studies. You will work collaboratively with senior product management leadership and functional departments, including Demand Generation, Product Management, Product Marketing, and Sales, to proactively support the field and partner channels with effective positioning, marketing assets, product education, and competitive differentiation. Responsibilities Identify, develop and maintain industry specific knowledge such as customer challenges, use case scenarios, buyer ecosystem, purchase motivators, and personas that underpin development of competitive differentiation points for sales, to inform product decisions and create preference with buyers.

Develop industry relevant product value propositions, positioning and messaging that define the brand, differentiate 8x8 vs competitors and demonstrate relevance to the target buyers.

Translate product specific features into industry relevant benefits that buyers and users can understand, care about, and are willing to pay for.

Create and deploy industry specific marketing materials and collateral specifically designed for each stage of the buyer's journey and key personas. Translate technical capabilities into relevant benefits to create content in the form of ebooks, blogs, articles, videos, solution overviews, magazines, podcasts and digital marketing assets designed to build awareness.

Ensure sales, partners and internal teams are enabled to successfully evangelize the 8x8 story for the targeted verticals with accurate and up-to-date sales tools and content relevant to each stage of the buyer's journey.

Collaborate with Sales teams to provide Solution and Vertical Marketing support where needed including product roadmap reviews, case studies, ROI proof points and web content to support pipeline volume and velocity.

Work closely with product management and product marketing to help shape the product roadmap based on feedback and experience from interactions with customers, prospects, partners, analysts, and industry experts.

Drive primary research, segmentation analysis and 1:1 customer interviews that underpin thought leadership and industry specific content development.

Evangelize vertical solutions and industry best practices to support closing deals through presentations and demonstrations to the field and customers (trade shows, road shows, customer briefings, webinars).

Establish a leading online experience for the targeted industries.

Requirements 8+ years of Product, Vertical or Solution Marketing experience, ideally with a SaaS solution provider.

Excellent knowledge Vertical Marketing, Product Marketing and/or Product Management practices, ideally with a focus on Financial Services.

Excellent analytical, presentation and oral communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, creative team atmosphere.

Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.

Vertical Marketing Experience: Direct experience with SaaS, Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS), Contact Center-as-a-Service (CCaaS), Communications Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) or creating solutions with larger software solution partners a strong plus.

BS or BA degree. MBA preferred.
