What the job is all about: Participates and contributes to sales opportunities driven by the Regional Sales Managers, prioritizing efforts based on maximizing total impact on the team’s productivity. Scopes technical solutions to address corporate customer requirements, assesses customers' met and unmet needs and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Ross Video. Coordinates closely with Ross’ internal Sales team and business partners to align solutions designed to meet our customers’ business requirements. Proactively educates and provides professional development to team and business partners in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills. Generates localized sales tools on various mediums for internal and external distribution (PowerPoint’s, Application Notes, Competitive Guides, etc.). Engages in customer facing product presentations, demos, training, and workflow guidance to end-users and business partners at customer premises or tradeshows. Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities and collaborates with Sales to ensure these are effectively covered and advanced. Works on systems oriented and highly technical projects. Creates drawings that capture the spirit of specific opportunities, while also creating general variations for use by other groups at Ross. Helps to prepare world-class customer facing proposal supplements. Manages proposals for large RFPs. Transfers post sale information to the Implementation Projects team. Acts as a “Technical Evangelist” to help build trust and inspiration with our partners and customers. Participates in developing and implementing product awareness collateral / presentations. Provides client feedback to Marketing Product Manager(s) on product & application requirements. Travel to tradeshows as required. Attend Sales Meetings, as required. Willing to Travel up to 60% of the time. Performs other related duties as required. Who you are: Minimum 5 years of combined sales, sales engineering, and presales experience. Record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role. Understanding of the AudioVisual / Media Technology Market (Live Production experience an asset). Poses strong knowledge of industry standard protocols, connectors and terminations. Advanced skill set in using Visio or OmniGraffle as well as AutoCad Architect. Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills. Must be proficient in both Desktop and Server Networking. Able to work co-operatively with and across all company departments. Strong presentation skills. Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Possesses strong and creative problem-solving traits. Experience working with CRM’s. Positive, Determined, Problem Solver. Deadline driven. Ability to schedule duties/projects (multi-task). Ability to work well independently. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Desire to contribute to a team environment. Ability to handle stressful situations. Must live within 60kms/40mi of major airport. Valid Passport and Valid Driver’s License. Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, German, or another European language (multilingual proficiency is a plus). Bonus points if you have the following: Existing knowledge and use of Ross Video products.
