Here's what you'll be doing

Are you a talented Solution Architect looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the future of EON UK's architecture? We are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect to join our team and take ownership of end-to-end solution designs that align with our Enterprise Architecture strategies and group IT strategy and policies. Assure solution designs against agreed approaches, including People, Organisations, Locations, Data, Applications & Technology. Develop technology principles, guidelines, patterns & standards to guide the future direction of EON UK's architecture. Guide and control other parties, including 3rd party organizations, to ensure alignment with agreed approaches. Manage technical dependencies across strategic transformations and tactical changes. Maintain a knowledge-base of the architecture supporting the EON UK Business. Support the development of IT roadmaps that deliver business outcomes as defined by the business strategy. Consult with vendors and Digital & Technology stakeholders to guide the best route forward for initiatives. Ensure technical solutions are consistent with the IT strategy, comply with relevant IT standard policies, and optimize performance and security considerations. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to identify opportunities to solve business challenges with technical solutions. Operate in a financially sensitive manner, considering value for money, return on investment, and cost impact. What we need from you

5+ years of experience in designing and developing complex large-scale & multi-user applications. Degree level education or equivalent experience. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details in non-technical terms and influence senior stakeholders. Strong negotiating and influencing skills at all levels within the EON Organization. Ability to identify emerging technologies and demonstrate their value to the business. Presentation and workshop management skills. Experience in an outsourced environment, with strong supplier liaison involving 3rd party organizations and technologies. Experience using innovation, technology, and problem-solving skills to mitigate business risk. Experience with MSDynamics and/or similar Low-Code/No-Code ERP solutions. Desirable Skills: Understanding of the energy sector, including structure, regulatory environment, and industry issues. Experience in leadership within an outsourced environment. Technical authoring skills. Familiarity with various architecture frameworks (e.g., POLDAT, TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate).
