Job Description Lead Solution Architect (Azure) Role: Azure Solution Architect Responsibilities: Design and implement end-to-end Azure data solutions, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization. Architect data platforms using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), Azure SQL Database, and PySpark. Provide expert-level technical design and thought leadership of Azure assessment and implementation engagements. Lead elaboration and discovery sessions to inform solution design, migration, and modernization strategy. Lead architecture design, data foundations, solution structures, and component design sessions with customers. Experience with planning and implementing a data warehouse, data lake, and data modeling. Support data migrations from SQL and open-source repositories into modern Azure data services. Design and architect solutions utilizing Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse, and Fabric services. ETL and ELT data integration and migration design experience. Responsible for using Microsoft Data & Analytics services to support strategic & self-service models. Lead the development of Migration Transformation modernization and re-platforming services engagements with customers to drive the successful adoption of Azure Data Services. Craft high-quality diagrams and documents to communicate the thoroughness of vision for data architecture and security of proposed data solutions. Collaborate with project managers and customers to write work packages and build work backlogs based on the solution designs. Participate in code reviews and review work from other project team members for completeness and quality. Understand a broad spectrum of technologies to provide a detailed technical design that meets customer requirements. Work with the Security and Architecture teams to refine and deploy security best practices for identifying, detecting, protecting, responding to, and recovering from threats to assets and information. Qualifications: Overall 12+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 4 years as an Azure Data Architect. Strong expertise in all Azure services with a focus on data engineering & BI reporting. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), SQL, NoSQL, PySpark, Power BI, and other Azure data tools. Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and Business Intelligence concepts. Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and robust data solutions.
