We’re looking for a talented, passionate and versatile Salesforce Engineer, with a growth mind-set and a commitment to technical excellence. You’ll be a key member of our agile development community, building and maintaining our Salesforce Ecosystem and its integration with our in-house insurance platform, whilst embracing industry best practice and standards. Your highly collaborative style will help to nurture a culture of growth and learning, and you’ll demonstrate the courage and resilience to persevere when faced with new challenges. Our technology stack is mostly made up of the following technologies; APEX, JavaScript, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, Lightening Web Components, HTML, CSS, Custom Objects, Complex Batch Jobs, Azure DevOps and Copado however we’re also using and investigating many other languages and technologies with a primary focus on the Salesforce Platform, alongside an Azure cloud services landscape. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Developing solutions to the required quality, design, coding, performance and security standards Providing production support through investigations of incidents, triage and fix Testing solutions thoroughly, prioritising the use of automated testing standards and techniques Using a mixture of Low Code and Click driven solutions alongside more customised coded developed options when required Creating and supporting custom lighting web components and triggers alongside scheduled batch jobs Ensuring quality and continuous improvement through design reviews, code reviews and retrospectives Taking collective ownership for the platform as a whole responding to its needs for stability and availability Working closely with colleagues to share knowledge and ensure the continuous growth of our development community What you’ll bring: Experience in a Salesforce Engineering role with relevant qualifications such as Platform Developer I and Salesforce Administrator Strong understanding of Clean Code practices, Object Orientation, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, Governor Limits and Salesforce Best Practices Growth-oriented and adaptable with an ability to meet the changing needs of the platform and our customers Proven experience working across the Salesforce Ecosystem including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud A passion for software development with demonstration of this passion through blogging, contribution to open-source projects and attending tech events Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders Desire to innovate in order to find optimal technical solutions Knowledge in the following technologies would be advantageous: C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, WCF, SQL, ASP.NET Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
