We are very excited to be working with this excellent catering company in East London. Run by a female founder and executive chef, this business is all about sustainability - 80% of their menus are veg and vegan, and they sparingly use sustainable sources of fish and meat. They strive to keep waste to a minimum, recycle as much as possible, and are working towards closed loop systems with their suppliers. Their beautiful & creative cooking spans a variety of cuisines and uses ingredients from incredible small producers. The events that they cater for typically include a mix of gallery dinners, shoot day meals, private & corporate events and includes everything from canapes & buffets, all the way to 3 course sit down meals. We are looking for a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef & Executive Chef in running the day to day and leading their brilliant team. The ideal person will share their passion for food, drink & sustainability as well as being super organised and having strong experience with costing & menu development. This is perfect for someone who is a real self-starter, thinks on their feet and is keen to join a growing, dynamic business. THE HOURS
This is a full time 45 hour week role, you’ll typically work Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm as well as one or two weekends a month and occasional evenings. The company closes for 10 days in August and 10 days in December, you can either choose to take this as holiday or as unpaid leave in addition to your usual 28 holiday days.
