You will assist the Head Chef in leading all kitchen activities within the village, ensuring the menu is delicious and food is prepared and presented to the correct standards and quality. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with managing the full food service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Ensuring that all food is correctly prepared and presented to residents in line with the correct standards and quality Helping to create an exciting and appetising menu, which takes into consideration dietary requirements and allergens Supporting and instructing the kitchen team in correct food preparation techniques Ensuring the restaurant complies with all policies and procedures relating to the delivery of the restaurant service Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment Giving an outstanding customer experience to our residents and guests. Key Requirements: Previous experience of working as a Sous Chef or Chef in a busy environment Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Qualified in Food Hygiene – minimum of Level 3 in Food Safety or equivalent Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative without ongoing direct supervision Creativity and passionate for food design, preparation, nutrition and presentation. Working Hours: This is a full-time opportunity where the Sous Chef will work 37.5 hours per week; 5 over 7 days, between the hours of 9.00am and 10.00pm.
