Hours: 05:15 to 14:15 AND 14:45 - 22:45
Shift pattern: 2 earlies and 2 lates and 4 off
Immediate Sous Chef opportunity working within the first-class VIP lounge of an internationally recognised airline brand.
The Sous Chef position is based in London Heathrow Airport.
In return the successful Sous Chef will receive:
£17.40 p/h Plus Monthly Bonus payment Guaranteed 40 hours per week All meals on duty Chef whites Professional cutlery Weekly or monthly pay
The main Duties of the Sous Chef will include: Assisting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen Supporting the Head Chef in menu planning and cost implementation of the kitchen Writing menus with a variety of food options for Lounge guests Enforcing health and safety Training kitchen staff and supervising kitchen stations
Essential skills and experience required to be considered for this Sous Chef role: Experience as a Sous Chef or higher (this is essential) Experience in working in a similar kitchen environment where you have produced 300 to 700 covers per day Kitchen management experience from a similar environment Experience in managing, training and developing kitchen personnel Experience in producing European and continental cuisine Good communication skills 5-year checkable history
This position will be shift-based working, hours of work for each shift are 05:15 hrs to 14:15 hrs OR 14:45 hrs to 22:45 hrs.
