Contract: 40 hours per week

Operation: 52 weeks per year

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Sous Chef to join the culinary team at a renowned private school in the heart of Sussex. This is a dynamic role within a high-volume kitchen, working alongside a talented team of 9 chefs. Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for staff and students, catering to large numbers. Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, contributing ideas for new dishes, menu development, and seasonal specials. Ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and food safety. Work with the team to manage stock, ordering, and kitchen efficiency. Support the training and development of junior chefs and kitchen staff.

About You: A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential. A genuine passion for cooking and a desire to grow within a team. Previous experience is advantageous, but not essential. Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (with some flexibility) 1 in 3 weekends required, finishing no later than 7:00 PM.
