Main duties of the job

Job Purpose

To provide a quality specialist service to clients (and their families/carers) referred to CAMHS across all sectors of care in Dudley. Triage CAMHS referrals including the assessment and prioritisation of clinical complexity and risk. To participate in the development of a clinical workforce rota to cover the SPA in collaboration with admin colleagues. To promote the reputation of CAMHS. To provide specialist assessment and intervention for complex mental health needs and to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise systematic governance of practice within CAMHS. To contribute to the proposal, development and implementation of policy and procedures for CAMHS and wider children and family services. About us

Job responsibilities

The SPA (Single Point of Access) / Assessment Team requires an experienced and dynamic professional to work across the front door to our service, providing specialist assessment and triage of referrals into CAMHS. The post holder will take on a split role between referral triage, initial assessments and brief interventions with young people and their families. Person Specification

Education Essential Full professional qualification as accredited by relevant professional body. Desirable Evidence of ongoing professional development. Knowledge Essential Knowledge of relevant legislation in CAMHS. Ability to assess and respond to the highly complex mental health needs of children and young people.
