Special Fluids sell hydrocarbon solvents to diverse markets (paints, adhesives, inks, water treatment, offshore drilling, crop protection). The specialist production facility in Oudalle, France uses the patented HDA process with customers being supplied directly from France or with core grades from UK storage facilities. Customers range from local affiliates of large multinational industrials, chemical distributors to specialist SMEs. Safety

Ensure that all activities related to the job are carried out with safety as a first priority including customer site compliance. Ensure that incidents and near misses are followed up appropriately with relevant customers. Conduct task observations and develop stakeholder safety culture. Planning & Reporting

Assist in preparation of PLT, Budgets and sales forecasts. Produce Business Line reports. Pilot sales & profitability taking corrective action to ensure targets are met. Understand technical & legislative information relevant to market segments. Liaise with technical & commercial departments in Paris. Excellent knowledge of market segments. Commercial & technical understanding of customer’s business. Ensure strong long-term customer relationships at multiple organisational levels. Develop, manage and deliver customer account plans (Key Account, Distributor, Direct customers). Liaison with International Key Account managers for sustainable customer relationships. Management and application of pricing policies, ensuring correct SAP entry and invoice processing. Pricing and contract negotiation meeting business objectives. Promote added-value services and differentiate Total’s offer ensuring sales and services to customers are followed up. Pilot consignment stock and adherence to company standards. Credit Management (Credit Limits, Credit Review, Marketing Risk, DSO & Aged Debt) – ensure customers pay to terms. Investigation, resolution and follow-up of customer complaints. CRM (Salsa) & Market Development

Use Salsa in line with B2B Excellence guidelines. Visit frequency, data input, visit reports, action plan follow-up, management of opportunities… Application of market information (customer, products, competition…) to develop effective business line strategies. Analyse and understand market trends carrying out ad-hoc reports and studies. Discover new application areas for existing products. Prospect for new customers. Promote cross-selling. Represent the company at exhibitions and associated events. Use of company digital tools. Provide holiday and sickness cover for team members. Cross-functional support, interacting with departments supporting Special Fluids promoting efficient ways of working. Job Responsibilities

Strong commercial acumen, negotiating skills, presentation skills and an effective communicator. Relevant technical qualification or strong ability to quickly grasp key issues regarding products & customer requirement. Good level of PC literacy & MS systems. Highly organized with great attention to detail.
