Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will work closely with students with autism and other special educational needs, providing tailored support to enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Implement strategies to manage and support challenging behaviors
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable)
