We are looking for an experienced nurse who has previously worked in a school environment or healthcare role with children and young people. We will offer you clinical supervision, regular appraisal, training, and support in achieving your personal development plan, as well as peer support from colleagues in similar roles. You will play an important role in the delivery of integrated children's acute and community services. Main duties of the job You will have responsibility for ensuring plans of care are maintained and reviewed, support consultant-led clinics, work with children and families to help achieve maximum independence in health and wellbeing, and develop best practice in line with the Child Health Strategy and health promotion. You will work closely with teachers and classroom assistants in meeting care needs and in teaching health interventions and health promotion skills. This busy role requires you to be flexible in a constantly changing environment and to respond to emergency needs as they arise.
