The exponential and ubiquitous growth of social media has led to an unprecedented diversity and severity of online harms. The speed in which digital technologies, media applications and social networking features evolve makes maintaining global situational awareness increasingly challenging. A Specialist Analyst within the Human Delivery team will be responsible for monitoring the threat posed by bad actors, malicious groups and harmful behaviours. Whilst the role is predominantly focussed on understanding and monitoring hate speech and violence on the internet and social media, it will also require a willingness to work on associated content, including but not limited to, risks such as violent extremism, suicide and self-harm and child endangerment. The Specialist Analyst will play a key role in researching, investigating and documenting threats, trends, and vulnerabilities to disparate stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of online threats and how they manifest online, and are able to work in a challenging, time-sensitive environment on a wide variety of taskings. They will be able to write thorough, interesting and innovative intelligence reports, through conducting surface, deep and dark web research. The candidate will be responsible for helping to locate and inform the team of leads for research and investigation, support peer review of analyst work, and help design reporting documents for client outputs. A successful analyst must be focused and unbiased when approaching problematic content and able to communicate the key risks, threats, trends and issues in a concise manner. This job requires the use of a variety of qualitative and quantitative investigative research techniques to produce succinct and actionable intelligence. The candidate will contribute towards daily, weekly and long-term intelligence reporting and situational awareness activities. Responsibilities:

Effectively use a diverse collection of techniques to gather intelligence from a variety of open and closed sources. Produce and peer review intelligence reports and alerts. Adhere to all Company procedures and processes to ensure continued security and safety of you and your colleagues. Research and track a range of bad actors to build up intelligence pictures, identifying potential targets through a range of sources, including from bespoke AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools and Open Source (OSINT). Collate and validate intelligence, evaluating the reliability of sources and credibility of information. Use various analytical techniques to assess and interpret intelligence, collaborating with colleagues to gather further information to piece together the whole picture. Produce well-written, well-structured, timely, and impactful threat products and assessments in clear English, with minimal support that meet the requirements of stakeholders. Peer review analyst intel reports providing constructive feedback to enable development. Develop relationships with customers to understand their intelligence requirements. Continue to develop expertise in one or more threat verticals. Essential Experience:

Demonstrable experience working in a research/intelligence focused environment. Strong open source intelligence/internet based investigations skills. Proven track record of writing compelling research/intelligence reports. Strong awareness of different social media platforms and contemporary trends. Ability to analyse and manipulate large data sets to condense into a meaningful report. Foreign language skills to a high level of written, spoken and auditory competency, in German and/or Turkish.
