This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced audiologist to join our large and friendly team as a senior audiologist working with both adults and children. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, well-motivated and flexible and will provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for our adult and paediatric patients, working both solo and as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential, together with the skills to provide excellent patient care and make clinical decisions. BSc Hons Audiology / MSc with CCC in Audiology, or equivalent qualifications are required. The successful candidate will also be required to work at our outstations on a regular basis. This is a good opportunity for an individual wishing to gain sound experience and who wishes to develop skills further. We also provide services for balance, tinnitus, adults with learning difficulties and ENT services. At present we are working towards UKAS accreditation which will enhance the service further. Main duties of the job

To provide a specialist Audiology service, in the most appropriate location, to adults and/or children with highly complex hearing disabilities, tinnitus, and challenging difficulties. The post holder may be required to focus on a specialty area. To be available to provide a general Audiology service, in the most appropriate location, to adults and children with routine hearing disabilities. This includes provision to ENT clinics. To work autonomously to assess and interpret results of patients referred for paediatrics and tinnitus including hearing aid fitting and including complex issues. To provide training and supervision to new starters, students, colleagues and other professionals as required. To maintain a critical awareness of current clinical and technological research within Audiology. Rotational opportunities in specialist areas will be available to develop and maintain skills. Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check. About us

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

Registered with the Health Professions Council and/or Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists BSc Audiology or equivalent MSc Audiology Skills/Experience/Knowledge Base

Demonstrable experience working as Audiologist Specialist Clinician with non-routine patients including Paediatrics Highly skilled in complex: Diagnostic Audiometry, Adult Rehabilitation, Digital H/Aids Paediatrics Able to work with a challenging client group such as learning disabilities Experience with supervising and training colleagues or other professionals Disclosure and Barring Service Check
