About the role: A vacancy has arisen for a full-time specialist Biomedical Scientist in the Haemophilia & Thrombosis Laboratory located at The Royal Free Hospital in London. We are looking for a biomedical scientist with specialist haemostasis knowledge and with an interest in further developing their skills and knowledge in this area. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake (after training) a variety of specialist coagulation investigations for diagnosing and monitoring of patients with inherited and acquired coagulation disorders. They will be required to maintain their knowledge and skill levels to work both independently and under the supervision of the senior biomedical scientists. Applicants will hold a qualification in pathology disciplines consistent with HCPC requirement and a Specialist portfolio in Haematology or equivalent. Applicants should have some experience of working to a laboratory Quality Management System. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in weekend day shifts and a standby/on-call rota.
