This band 6 post is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to develop their clinical skills working with a varied caseload of children and young people in outpatient and community settings. If you can demonstrate experience of working with children and young people, enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team, and have great communication skills, please apply. This post is suitable either as a development post for a band 5 into a band 6, or at band 6 level. The Children’s Therapies team is based in the Children’s Centre at the Royal United Hospitals Bath with great resources and a friendly, experienced team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to support your development. Please note, as this is a community post, a car driver with access to your own vehicle is essential. The department cannot sponsor applicants from overseas. Main duties of the job
The post holder provides a high standard specialist community-based Occupational Therapy service, working alone in a variety of community settings. Manage a complex and highly specialised caseload of children with a range of complex needs, within a defined geographical area, providing quality Occupational Therapy and effective case management. Using evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions and contribute to the diagnostic process. Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services within a designated area, holding responsibility for defined projects. Regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements and undertake supervision of other Occupational Therapy staff. Participate in and teach on the department’s in-service training programme as well as external training to other groups. Working for our organisation

Degree in Occupational Therapy HPC registration UK driving license Experience
Post graduate knowledge and experience of working with children You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
