To apply the Occupational Therapy process within a Multi-Disciplinary format providing specialist assessment and treatment in clinical care pathways. To take a lead in developing the Service. This involves promoting high quality clinical practice and ensuring professional standards are maintained in the workplace. To deliver a specialist Occupational Therapy Service to patients within a variety of settings, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments to maximise their abilities and opportunities for occupational wellbeing. Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities) The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the Trust’s values in everything you do in the work environment and live up to the LPT Pledge, being responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trust’s resources that you utilise. To be responsible for own practice and accountable for all aspects of the Occupational Therapy (OT) process (info gathering, assessment, treatment planning, intervention, evaluation and discharge planning) as appropriate to patient needs. To assist team/clinical/operational leaders in the organisation and co-ordination of the service provided. The post holder will manage own time constructively and prioritise clinical workload working with patients on a 1:1 basis or in a group. To work in partnership with team leads, managers and other practitioners in the effective management of referrals, case prioritisation and care co-ordination within clinical care pathways. To work effectively with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and other related agencies to ensure a needs-led service is maintained. We have a number of vacancies within the Occupational Therapy team, created as part of the successful growth and development of the Occupational Therapy service. The successful candidates will be managed and supervised by senior Occupational Therapists. The vacancies are in the following locations; Full Time; City East CMHT (based at St Peters health and social care centre) Full Time; North West Leicestershire CMHT (based at Hawthorn Centre, Coalville) Part Time; Charnwood CMHT (based at Loughborough Hospital) Part Time; South Leicestershire CMHT (base to be confirmed within area) We can be flexible to meet the needs of potential candidates, however the minimum hours accepted for these posts are 22.5 hours.
