Specialist Dietitian – Band 6 Acute (Surgery)

To work as part of the Dietitians Department in providing a quality dietetic service to inpatients. The post-holder will manage their workload in conjunction with the wider team: Manage a caseload of surgical inpatients. Participate in MDT working, meetings, audit, and research. Support with cover for Critical Care. As part of the dietetic services, the post-holder will: Participate in supervision of student dietitians on clinical placement. Support supervision of band 5 dietitians and dietetic support workers. Cover clinical workload of other dietitians during annual leave. Undertake normal activities of the department including MDT working, projects, meetings, service developments, audits & research, CPD, developing resources, and training other health professionals. Lead/participate in national awareness events (Nutrition & Hydration week, Dietitians week). Please see Job Description and Person Specification for details.
