The Role

Exciting opportunity to join our Physiotherapy MSK service during a time of innovation and service re-design. Takes a lead role for a designated clinical area with a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge. Has responsibility for the supervision, education, and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students within the specialty. Provides a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers. Has active involvement in Clinical Governance, Clinical Effectiveness, and Research. NHS Lanarkshire

Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level. Postgraduate expertise within specialty/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively, and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the specialty/area of practice. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the specialty/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within specialty/area of practice. Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/postgraduate qualification. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using their own initiative. Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills. Working knowledge of basic information technology. It would be great if you also have

Member of CSP. Membership of relevant special interest group. Multi-disciplinary working. Research and audit. Experience or interest in specialist area as detailed in role profile for this post. Contract type

Permanent Full time or Part Time 37 hours Location and Working Pattern
