Are you dynamic, motivated and have a passion for providing high quality care to your patients? We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our large, well-established and friendly community team.

The post-holder will require a driving licence and access to a car to complete their community visits.

Main duties of the job As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.

Job responsibilities We manage a varied, largely domiciliary caseload from post-op rehab, Pathway 2 rehab in care homes to long-term condition management, falls prevention and same-day equipment assessments to keep patients safe at home. Applicants will require sound moving and handling skills, good problem solving, prioritisation and excellent communication. Our offices are shared with Community Nurses, Social Workers and Urgent Community Response, allowing a high level of integrated working to the benefit of our patients.

We are committed to the continuing professional development of all our team members and offer a supportive environment with regular supervision, CPD groups, training and peer support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and development of Band 5 Occupational Therapists, students, and support staff assigned to them. Excellent IT skills are required to coordinate the smooth running of the service and utilise the benefits of our online MyCare portal.

Working Pattern: The majority of shifts are completed 8.30 to 4.30 and the successful candidate will be entered onto the team rota for late shifts (either 10-6pm or 12-8pm depending on capacity) and weekends (with toil time provided to compensate).
