An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Service and be part of our well-established stroke team at the Borders General Hospital.
Previous experience of providing specialist occupational therapy in adult stroke care is essential. This post will focus on providing assessment and treatment to stroke patients with the key aim of enabling individuals to achieve discharge from hospital in a timely fashion and to maximize function and quality of life. The post holder will provide clinical leadership and supervision to rotational therapists and therapy support workers and will have opportunities to deputize for the team lead as required. Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision and appraisal, in-service training, and access to relevant external training.
