As an occupational therapist working within the Adult Community Therapy team, you will have the opportunity to champion the key values of your profession. We understand through purposeful & meaningful activity we support people to rehabilitate, recover and self-care. You will work alongside a knowledgeable & supportive team of therapists. We support one another to meet the needs of patients living in Lincoln, Gainsborough and all the villages in between. Your caseload will be varied: you will have the opportunity to work alongside adults experiencing a range of long-term health conditions and acute deteriorations in their functional abilities. A key aspect of this will involve assessment of frailty and providing meaningful support for people with palliative health conditions. We work closely with the wider multidisciplinary and multiagency teams to ensure that our patients receive high quality and equitable care. This post will commence from April 2025. To assess and set goals for patients living in their own homes and care settings To provide high quality occupational therapy interventions To provide clinical leadership and supervision to members of the therapy team To represent Adult Community Therapy in the context of the wider multidisciplinary and multiagency team To work alongside the therapy leads in order to innovate and develop the therapy service Person Specification
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Degree or equivalent diploma in Occupational Therapy Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration Post graduate experience as an occupational therapist in rehabilitation with older people and/or long-term conditions and/or community/community hospitals/in-reach Evidence of leadership experience Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapy Experience of working in community and community hospital settings Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro rata.
