Job overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join our well-established and friendly Domiciliary Physiotherapy Team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. You will be working alongside other registered and unregistered physiotherapy staff in the North Staffordshire area. In the domiciliary team, you would be working with patients in their own homes who present with a variety of musculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions, long-term conditions including some neurology and falls. The post holder will be HCPC registered and previous UK NHS experience is desirable. This is a fantastic opportunity for staff who have completed their Band 5 rotations or who are looking to expand their existing clinical knowledge within MSK. You will be able to evidence skills as a clinician working with a range of conditions and have a clear desire to expand your knowledge & skills with a capacity for autonomous clinical decision-making and problem-solving. We are looking for a team player who is a good communicator and you will need to be open, honest, and compassionate. You will need to have the ability to work flexibly and be able to develop effective professional working relationships. Support and guidance will be provided from a team of friendly, experienced Physiotherapists and Domiciliary lead. There is an excellent MSK IST programme and regular clinical supervision provided as well as annual appraisal. Main duties of the job

As part of your role in the Domiciliary team you will: Provide assessment, diagnose and manage a variety of conditions through clear and logical clinical reasoning. Independently manage your own caseload. Work closely with other teams/agencies including Occupational Therapists, Social Care, and District Nursing Teams - involvement in addressing a wide range of conditions. Support the development of Band 5 physiotherapists, unregistered staff, and undergraduate physiotherapy students. Support service development and delivery of local and Trust-wide projects. Participate in the IST programme and regular clinical supervision. As this is a domiciliary post, it is essential that you hold a full UK driving license and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. Working for our organisation

Qualifications and Training

Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent. Registration with HCPC. Evidence of undertaking post-registration training and/or professionally recognised courses and/or development in MSK physiotherapy. Modules at masters level. Evidence of further clinical study relevant to clinical practice. Experience

Relevant experience (a minimum of 18 months in the UK) to the role including assessment and management of MSK conditions. Ability to manage time and caseload effectively. Supporting service users, families, and carers in dealing with the impacts of MSK conditions, pain, and disability. Working in a multidisciplinary team. Project work/clinical audits/service development. Supporting physiotherapy students on placement. You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
