We have an exciting opportunity to join the neurophysiotherapy rotations at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The rotations include: The Regional Hyperacute Rehabilitation level 1 Unit serving patients with complex neurological disability based at NPH. A dynamic interdisciplinary Neurological Therapy Service for acute neurological inpatients. Treating a wide variety of conditions including head injury, stroke, spinal injury, neuro-oncology MS & PD, primary base at NPH, further service at EH. Neuro outpatients based at NPH. An integrated stroke service including Hyper Acute stroke, Acute stroke rehab and Stroke ESD based at NPH with the ESD team covering into the local boroughs of Brent and Harrow. Further opportunities exist to develop the rotations including neuro caseloads based at other trust sites. As a multi-site trust, you will be required to work on all sites as part of your employment. The post will allow you to develop your therapeutic, interdisciplinary and management skills. As an autonomous practitioner, you will assess and treat your own caseload and provide a specialist neurology physiotherapy service to patients. Key responsibilities include: Working as a member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), assessing and treating patients with complex neurological disabilities and maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records. Collaborating closely with the clinical leads for the inpatient and outpatient neurology physiotherapy service to support service development. Managing all aspects of the Neurology Inpatient Physiotherapy Service, including prioritising and organising all referrals to the neurology service and allocation of patients. Participating in the rostered 7-day neuro service and respiratory on-call rota. Developing and appraising team members, including Band 5, 4, 2 staff and students. Providing ongoing training and education to physiotherapy staff, other healthcare professionals, and students. Engaging in your continued professional development (CPD) and service development. Participating in clinical audit and research within the team. The successful applicant will need to have: Experience as a band 5 in both acute and rehabilitation settings. A dynamic approach to work and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. Person Specification

Qualifications

MSc or BSc in Physiotherapy HCPC Registration ACPIN Membership Experience

Minimum 2 years of band 5 experience including neuro, respiratory, and MSK. NHS experience. Experience in respiratory on-call. Completion of Clinical Educators course or evidence of teaching ability. Experience of clinical audit. Skills

High standard communication at MDT level. Evidence of clinical reasoning and handling. Experience of adjuncts to neuro, e.g., splinting, FES. Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Salary: £42,939 to £50,697 per annum inclusive HCAS.
