37.5 hours per week Compass Therapy Support Community (operating as Compass Therapy Centre) is a registered charity established in Edinburgh over 40 years ago. We provide support and therapeutic services including Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to people in Edinburgh and the Lothians who live with neurological conditions. Purpose of the role: To work autonomously providing physiotherapy management to a designated caseload of people with neurological and MSK conditions. To provide specialist interventions including AlterG Treadmill, Mollii Suit, and GMove Suit. To liaise with both statutory and third sector organisations in addressing the client’s wider community health and wellbeing needs. Values: To put clients first in everything you do. Adapt practice to clients’ individual needs. Assess capacity and gain informed consent. Identify and recommend appropriate clinical equipment. Communication: Adapt communication to meet clients’ needs. Provide specialist advice and teaching. Manage complex cases with high-quality therapy. Work in collaboration with NHS and other organisations. Deliver complex or sensitive information effectively. Prepare comprehensive reports. Professional: Comply with professional conduct codes. Be responsible for personal continuous professional development. Develop evidence-based practice. Participate in the appraisal system. Organisational: Demonstrate effective time management. Ensure timely communication of assessment findings. Keep accurate client records. Comply with mandatory training requirements. Contribute to the coordination of the service. Provide supervision and participate in appraisals. Professional Development: You will have dedicated time to complete CPD, developing a Personal Development Plan. Development and Services Improvement: Collaborate with the Business Development Officer. Support service marketing through client case studies. Lead the planning and evaluation of services. Advise senior management on service delivery issues. Implement clinical policies and protocols. Recommend and drive service improvements. Person Specification: Recognised professional qualifications in physiotherapy. Registered with HCPC/BASRaT. Expert clinical knowledge of neurological conditions. Effective prioritisation and management skills. High level of effective communication skills. Engagement with external stakeholders. Knowledge of professional guidelines and standards. Demonstrable continuing professional development. Flexibility to respond to changing service priorities.
