The MFT Radiopharmacy Department is one of the NW regional hubs providing radiopharmaceutical services across Greater Manchester and Lancashire and provides a contingency service across the region including Merseyside and Cheshire. The service includes the manufacture and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals and preparation of radiolabelled blood components for clinical use in diagnostic imaging. The Unit holds a MHRA Manufacturer's 'Specials' License and a Manufacturing Authorisation for Investigational Medicinal Products. The post holder will undertake and coordinate operational duties in a MHRA-licensed Radiopharmacy providing a specialist pharmacy service to hospitals across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Main duties of the job

Responsible for assisting the Radiopharmacy Management Team in the provision and development of MFT Radiopharmacy Services across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Performs and coordinates technical/operational duties to ensure smooth running of the Radiopharmacy Department providing radiopharmaceutical services to the Trust and across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Participates in the maintenance of the Radiopharmacy documentation system for the facility, equipment and environment. Undertakes training of students, STP trainees (local and regional), rotational senior clinical technologists and other junior staff including supervision of the Senior Assistant Technologist in the Radiopharmacy Department. Undertakes the highly specialised quality control systems for the manufactured radiopharmaceuticals in close co-operation with senior Radiopharmacy staff. About us
