Brighton Met College, part of the Chichester College Group Ref: BRTN0359 Pro rata of £23,151 per annum (i.e. £17,760.33) 30 hours per week, 42 weeks per year The Creative Industries department at Brighton MET has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Technician in Media, Film and Broadcast to join our brilliant team. The role is to support teaching and learning in our fantastic Film and Media department and is a great opportunity for a film or media practitioner to join Brighton MET at an exciting time in this industry. As our Specialist Technician, you will be part of our hardworking creative technician team and be supported by the Senior Technician for Creative Industries. You will have a strong working knowledge of film and creative media and ideally a degree in film or a related subject. Key responsibilities include: Support students at our regular live broadcasts from Brighton Dome, typically taking place in the evenings. Assist students with their learning and projects. Provide demonstrations in the mac labs, podcast suite, or film studios as required. Ensure all film and media equipment is serviced and ready for lessons and loans. Maintain student safety in the studios and ensure the safe operation of all equipment in specialist studios and work areas. Manage the loan of specialist equipment, including booking out equipment to staff and students and ensuring its safe return. Regularly service and maintain equipment and purchase consumables as needed. Assist in the set-up of our renowned End of Year show, which takes place every June.
