Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare? A new opportunity, closely aligned to national policy direction, has arisen to join our Integrated Frailty Leadership Team at The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, where we manage Adult Community Healthcare Services across Guildford and Waverley. We're looking for a dynamic and experienced operational leader to take on the pivotal role of Specialty Manager within our evolving community-based frailty services.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of integrated frailty care in Guildford and Waverley at a time of significant transformation. As the national focus shifts from acute to community-based services, you'll be at the forefront, driving service evolution and delivering outstanding care for older adults.

As Specialty Manager, you are part of our newly formed Integrated Frailty Leadership Team together with a Clinical Director, AHP lead and Matron. You lead the SBU and are a key member of the division's management structure, leading and driving our Integrated Frailty Services, including: Single Point of Access Hospital at Home Urgent Community Response Intermediate Care Milford Integrated Care Hub You will also be working with services across the whole Frailty pathway into an acute setting, including:

Frailty Same Day Emergency Care Acute Frailty Team Inpatient wards at both acute and community hospital sites

Main duties of the job

Your role will include:

Leading service delivery across a challenging yet rewarding community setting. Supporting and inspiring multidisciplinary teams working across the frailty pathway. Driving large-scale service transformation projects in partnership with the leadership team to deliver against strategic objectives outlined in the Frailty Strategy. Monitoring and managing planned and unplanned activity, ensuring budgetary control.

Supported by the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for a newly formed SBU team and you will have a role in defining, reviewing and improving the operational infrastructure required to ensure effective management of the whole pathway of services within your remit. Knowledge and Experience

Essential Service quality and quality management Current changes and developments within the NHS Extensive leadership and management experience in a complex system such as the NHS Experience of implementing change management projects to develop or improve services Multi-task management and continue to function to a high standard when under pressure

Desirable Change management theory Experience of community services NHS experience of managing a diverse range of staff groups

Qualifications

Essential MSc Degree level or equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience

Desirable Diploma or healthcare related post grad degree
