CAMHS is a friendly, multi-disciplinary team working across the beautiful counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. This post is based at Aconbury, Worcester, though there is an expectation that the post-holder will travel to other bases from time to time.

Main duties of the job
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies.
To manage a case load of varying complexity and to provide senior medical advice, support, consultancy, and clinical leadership to Herefordshire and Worcestershire Core CAMHS.
To conduct outpatient clinics consisting of routine and urgent new patient assessments and review/follow-up appointments.
To carry out home visits and telephone/remote consultations with service users as appropriate.
To participate in appropriate multi-disciplinary team meetings such as MDT meetings & CPA reviews.
To maintain electronic health records in accordance with Trust policies.
To undertake and maintain statutory and mandatory training requirements.
To actively participate in clinical governance activities.
To work within the duties and responsibilities of the Mental Health Act.

Person Specification Experience
Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
Previous experience of working in a clinical leadership role with positive relationships with team members.
Knowledge
Excellent knowledge in specialty.
Knowledge about the NHS and understanding the evidence base underpinning the delivery of high-quality services.
Knowledge about mental health policy with the ability to think strategically and manage change.
Qualifications
MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment.
