Full-time or Part-Time, Substantive post Salary:

£59,175-£95,400 per annum depending on experience plus a recruitment premium of up to 15% (based on basic salary) per annum. We are seeking passionate Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctors to join our expanding SAS (Senior Decision Maker) team in North Cumbria! Why North Cumbria? What We Offer: Diverse case mix including minor injuries, major trauma, and high acuity illness in both adults and children. A structured career pathway with the potential to progress from Tier 3 to Tier 4 Senior Decision Maker roles within a supportive environment. Regular teaching opportunities, including simulation training and journal clubs. Involvement in quality improvement, governance, and departmental management. Your Role: Conduct initial assessments, formulate treatment plans, and manage patient referrals or discharges in the Emergency Department. Provide clinical care across a diverse patient spectrum, including resuscitation of critically ill patients, complex cases, pediatrics, and minor injuries. Assist in department operations, ensuring timely patient care and supervision of junior staff while maintaining patient flow and supporting quality standards. Engage in administrative tasks, quality improvement initiatives, teaching sessions, and continuous professional development while adhering to Trust policies. Collaborate with a dedicated team of consultants, higher specialist trainees, and advanced clinical practitioners. Requirements: Full GMC registration with MBBS or equivalent medical degree and current certifications in ALS/ACLS, ATLS/ETC, and APLS/EPLS. A minimum of two years postgraduate experience, with at least 12 months in Emergency Medicine. Efficiently manage and prioritise your workload based on clinical needs. Committed to teaching and motivating the multi-professional medical workforce. Experienced in quality improvement, research, and clinical governance. Strong spoken and written English skills with high ethical and professional standards.
