To work alongside nursing colleagues within the Urgent Treatment Centre to manage patients either self-presenting or via ambulance. Senior advice and support is available 24 hours a day from the duty consultant/middle grade at the RCH Emergency Department. Become involved in the teaching and development of doctors, nurses and professionals from other disciplines such as Emergency Care Practitioners, undergraduate students and GP registrars. Identify gaps in patient pathways and report these back to the Urgent Treatment Centre Specialty Lead. Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of the Urgent Treatment Centre. Share with colleagues the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Urgent Treatment Centre. About us

Qualifications
GMC Registration with a Full Licence to Practice. Primary Medical Qualification. ALS, ATLS or APLS provider (at least 1). MRCP, MRCS, MCEM or equivalent. Instructor for at least one of Life Support courses. Clinical Experience
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required of a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine. Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in Emergency Medicine. Wide experience in Emergency and Acute Medicine. NHS experience. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
