Job summary This is a new post for a Specialty Doctor in Gynaecology. This post would be suitable for a doctor with at least 4 years of postgraduate experience who would be interested in General Gynaecology, outpatient Hysteroscopy (OPH) and Gynaecology Cancer/Oncology looking to work in NHS. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and enthusiastic team of 20 consultants delivering safe, effective care for obstetrics and gynaecology patients in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will have a job plan based on 10 PAs and will be expected to support ambulatory gynaecology. The successful candidate will be based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury with cross site working at Wycombe Hospital running gynaecological clinics, outpatient hysteroscopy, run theatre sessions and support day on-call as service requires. The post holder will be encouraged and supported to develop their own interests within the agreed job plan with a focus on contributing towards Gynaecology recovery to fulfil national and Trust targets. Main duties of the job Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will play an important part in day-to-day management of gynaecological patients. The post holder will run General Gynaecology outpatient clinics and outpatient hysteroscopy with specialist clinics based on clinical skills and experience. Key Tasks Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Gynaecology patients at all times. To share with colleagues' responsibility for the day-to-day management of Gynaecology patients requiring admission, investigations, or surgery. To undertake duties within the agreed job plan. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit. To support with teaching and training of junior medical staff.
