We are currently looking for a Specialty Doctor in Respiratory Medicine at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford to work in the newly established Respiratory Assessment Day Unit. We are a friendly, motivated and supportive department providing a variety of respiratory services and we are proud that we provide a high quality, patient focused service to the local population. Main duties of the job

The appointee will be responsible for communication and liaison with other medical and service departments within the hospital and with general practitioners and other agencies, such as district nursing and Social Services. The appointee will be expected to cover for absence of colleagues (including on call cover) at short notice, e.g. sickness. Cover outside the Rota requiring extra hours of work will be paid as additional work at nationally agreed rates and will be coordinated to be compliant with the relevant legislation. Qualifications

Full GMC Registration MBBS or equivalent MRCP part 1 and part 2 MRCP PACES) or equivalent Experience

Minimum of 6 months SHO or SPR level experience in respiratory medicine Some experience in thoracic ultrasound Possesses range of clinical knowledge, skills & information technology expertise. Minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent), ILETS, or graduate of a UK Medical School Competence in Thoracic US and pleural procedures Competence in lung function tests interpretation Experience in NIV care & bronchoscopy Skills in clinical audit and/or research Experience in teaching. IT Skills Personal/professional attributes
