Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry Job Description:

Are you an experienced Psychiatrist looking for a new challenge in Adult Psychiatry? Pulse Mental Health is currently recruiting Specialty Doctors to join a dynamic team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise and passion to the provision of comprehensive mental health care, while enjoying a supportive and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate diagnosis and treatment plans for adult patients with mental health disorders. Provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions, including medication management and psychotherapy, to promote recovery and well-being. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care delivery, involving nurses, therapists, social workers, and support staff. Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and clinical meetings to review patient progress, discuss treatment strategies, and coordinate care. Supervise and support junior medical staff, including SHOs and FY doctors, providing mentorship and guidance as needed. Maintain accurate and timely medical records, adhering to regulatory standards and best practice guidelines. Engage in continuous professional development activities, including attending training sessions, conferences, and workshops. Requirements: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and license to practice in the UK. MRCPsych qualification or equivalent, demonstrating specialist training and expertise in Adult Psychiatry. Minimum of 2 years’ postgraduate experience in Psychiatry, with a focus on Adult Psychiatry preferred. Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
