I am recruiting on behalf of a food manufacturer who are looking for a dedicated Specification Technologist to contribute to their commitment to excellence in the food industry.


In this role, you will report directly to the Technical Compliance & Customer Manager, while working with various departments to enhance and maintain their Quality Management System. Your efforts will be key in New Product Development, Existing Product Development, and managing Customer Specification Systems for both product packaging and raw materials.


What You'll Do:

- Ensure Quality & Compliance: Support external audits by ensuring complete traceability from supplier to end customer and assist in GMP hygiene and internal audits.

- Work closely with their Food Technologist and other teams to manage risk assessments, specifications for raw materials, and supplier compliance.

- Maintain the raw material supplier database and keep customer portals accurate and up to date with relevant information.

- Organise and conduct supplier visits, ensure all suppliers meet approval status, and foster strong supplier relationships.

- Develop and maintain product specifications, assess ingredient suitability and compliance, and manage related systems and databases.

- Participate in internal audits and assist in capturing and coordinating responses during food safety alerts.
