Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5-6) Development Band 5 - 6 Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist within the Adult Learning Disability Service based in Rotherham. We are looking for a Band 6 Therapist or an experienced Band 5 who would like to work towards a Band 6 role with support and guidance. If you have a passion for working with adults with a learning disability, we would love to hear from you.

As well as working within a supportive Speech and Language Therapy service, the successful applicant will join an established multi-disciplinary team working alongside Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychological Therapy to deliver person-centred care to individuals with a wide range of communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties.

We are looking for a compassionate and hard-working candidate who has a good knowledge of evidence-based practice, has access to transport, and the ability to travel around the required geographical area.

Main duties of the job

Supporting service users with their communication needs.

Supporting service users with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties.

Working within the service's established multi-disciplinary team pathways.
