This is a role for a Speech and Language Therapist with neurological or respiratory experience, looking for a new opportunity where they will be supported to develop and achieve their goals to become the best they can be. The Speech and Language Therapist will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans. They will have a strong emphasis on teamwork and receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals, as well as access to a variety of training courses to support them in reaching their career goals. Join our brand-new service, Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell working 22.5 hours per week, and enjoy a £5,000 Welcome Bonus (pro-rata). Lakefields Neurological Centre will be a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life. The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care. Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall-mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens. You will have experience in managing a designated caseload, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you in reaching your career goals. Responsibilities include: Demonstrate specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and generate appropriate strategies for caseload management. Undertake audits and contribute to research in the provision of treatments. Specialist knowledge in the areas of acquired communication and swallowing disorders. To be successful in this role, you'll need: Band 7 Level Practitioner or equivalent. HCPC registration. Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia. Experience of working with families. Evidence of continuing Professional Development. What you will get: Annual salary of £42,000 (pro-rata). Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a Band 7 Level Practitioner or equivalent, with HCPC registration, experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia, experience of working with families, and evidence of continuing Professional Development.
