We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Dysphagia and Early Years Complex Communication Team. Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families. As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people and their families in the community, schools, and clinic settings. You will work within our well-established, supportive, and dynamic Early Years Complex Communication and Dysphagia Team. You will provide assessments and interventions for children with complex communication needs, including implementing AAC. You will work in the dysphagia team with children from early years up to 19 years who are in special schools. You will also work in the joint assessment clinic with the multidisciplinary team, collaborating with Paediatricians, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists. About Us

NELFT places great importance on welcoming and inducting new starters into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which will include mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment. During the induction, new starters will have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period:

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless currently partway through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). High-Cost Area Supplement:

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, with a minimum of £4,551 and a maximum of £5,735, pro rata for part-time staff. Job Responsibilities

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent HCPC Licence to Practice Experience in managing a dysphagia caseload Knowledge of assessment tools, treatment techniques, and therapeutic interventions Demonstrate clear clinical reasoning based on evidence-based practice Disclosure and Barring Service Check

£37,338 to £44,962 a year pro-rata (plus HCAS)
