Our private client is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to support their Independent School in Lytham St Annes for a temporary contract initially.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' communication needs, particularly related to social communication and pragmatic language skills. Prepare reports for multi-disciplinary team meetings, Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews, or annual reviews. Adapt therapy to meet the sensory and behavioral needs of children with ASD. Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to address sensory or behavioral challenges affecting communication.
Requirements: Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC. Experience supporting children with ASD and pragmatic language difficulties.
