Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children and/or adults. Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to the needs of each client. Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to provide holistic care and support. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide training and advice to teachers, carers, and other support staff. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress, and treatment. Requirements
A relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification. HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as a Speech and Language Therapist. Experience in assessing and treating a range of speech, language, and communication disorders (experience with children or adults, or both, is desirable). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Desirable
Experience with a range of therapy techniques and interventions. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in the field. Ability to build effective relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
