We are currently on the look out for a Speech and Language Therapist to work with a Special needs school based in the Barking & Dagenham area:

As a SALT you will be responsible for the below:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine pupils' speech and language needs. Identify areas of difficulty and develop individualized therapy plans to address communication challenges. Provide direct therapy services to pupils, both individually and in group settings, to support the development of speech, language, and communication skills. Implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of each pupil. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the pupils' educational plans. Provide guidance and support to staff on implementing communication strategies and facilitating language development within the school environment. Monitor pupil progress through ongoing assessment and data collection. Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and pupil outcomes. Prepare regular progress reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. This role will be a long-term contract covering maternity leave and we are needing someone who can work part-time (up to 3 days a week). Pay rate will depend on experience:

Must have:

Experience in the UK as a Speech and Language Therapist HCPC Registered Experience working in Complex Learning Disabilities as a SALT, preferably in a school or education setting Bachelors/Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy If this sounds like a great fit for yourself, please send your application over and we look forward to hearing from you.
