We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our children's community Speech and Language Therapy team to work with children attending mainstream schools. We welcome applications from newly qualified therapists.

As a valued member of the team, you will manage a demanding but rewarding workload in order to provide an efficient and effective service. You will be a confident, self-directed individual with a strong team focus as well as being able to work independently when required. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills in order to maintain our exceptional standards of care when liaising with parents and both internal and external agencies.

As a team, we are always looking at ways to further improve the quality of our care and we encourage members of our team to share ideas for service development.

HOW WE WILL SUPPORT YOU: We have a strong support network for both clinical work and wellbeing. Wellbeing is a strong focus within our team and we strive to support each other at all times.

We will provide opportunities to learn from highly experienced team members, including regular meetings and CPD sessions. We will provide both clinical and management supervision. We will provide opportunities for you to develop skills across a range of clinical areas. We have opportunities to access external training if relevant to your role. We have free onsite parking and business miles can be claimed. We will provide role essential equipment such as laptops. We support hybrid working with a mixture of working from clinics/schools and working from home.

As an aspiring outstanding Trust, we have numerous policies and procedures in place which provide standard organisational ways of working, in line with organisational objectives, relevant legislation and requirements. Employees must abide by and adhere to all Wirral Community NHS Trust’s policies, at all times.

In this role, you will work in mainstream schools providing assessment and interventions to children who have speech, language, and communication needs.
