An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Speech and Language Therapist to clinically lead and develop Cumbria Childrens Speech and Language service. This high performing team work as part of an integrated Childrens Therapy Service alongside Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Audiology. They work closely with colleagues across health, education and social care, delivering a responsive, effective and fast moving service. Due to the countywide nature of this post, there will be a requirement to travel around Cumbria to provide visible leadership and development. You will work closely with operational managers in your role, providing clinical steer and insight to support operational and service decision making. Cumbria Childrens Speech and Language Therapy service is a friendly, supportive team committed to delivering excellent care. Qualifications

HCPC registration Degree or equivalent Member of appropriate body e.g. RCSLT, RCOT, CSP Evidence of CPD Knowledge & Experience

Evidence of leadership/management skills Able to demonstrate clinical expertise and advanced clinical decision-making appropriate to the role Able to evidence advanced differential diagnosis skills in specialist area Able to work autonomously with little or no direct supervision Experience of managing others, clinically or managerially Experience of leading clinical/management supervision sessions with students or other junior members of staff Evidence of involvement in service development Experience of leading/supporting with clinical audit and/or research Knowledge of local governance structures and processes Some knowledge of current NHS trends which influence service provision An understanding of the Care aims approach Skills and aptitude

Good verbal and written communication skills IT skills including word processing, e-mail and publisher skills Previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team Able to supervise students Organisational skills demonstrated for example by the involvement in a particular project Caseload management skills - especially identifying priorities and meeting deadlines Personal circumstances
