HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital is seeking a Spiritual Care Minister to join our ministry. Ideal candidates are patient-focused, mission-driven caregivers who provide an atmosphere of concern and recognition of the dignity of the human person in the light of the gospel of Christ. Ideal candidates help preserve a patient-centered attitude of care, give the patient an opportunity to verbalize feelings regarding their illness, assess needs, and document interventions.
Position Specifics:

Schedule: PRN, 7am-4pm; 8am-2pm on Sundays; On-call
Location: Highland, IL, Breese, IL, Greenville, IL, and O'Fallon, IL

Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Theology or related religious field is required.
Master’s degree from an accredited program in Theology or related religious field is preferred.
Experience Qualifications:
One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is required.
Being a member of a religious order, clergy, or a lay person with two years of relevant experience in care of the sick and dying may be considered in lieu of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education are preferred.
The appointment of priests and deacons to the pastoral care staff of a Catholic institution must have the explicit approval or confirmation of the local bishop in collaboration with the administration of the institution.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
Current certification with NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains), APC (Association of Professional Chaplains), NAJC (Neshama: Associate of Jewish Chaplains), CASC (Canadian Association of Spiritual Care) is preferred.

Pay Range:
$23.15 - $34.73
A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.
