As a Sports and Leadership tutor, your responsibilities would include:
To be available to deliver and support learning through formal scheduled high-quality teaching on subjects from the range of Sports/Courses ranging from Level 2, 3 & 4. To report accurately on the progress of both individuals and groups and to forward these to the relevant Programme Manager and key contact of the employment organisation on a monthly basis. To ensure that each learner portfolio is accurately completed, updated, and maintained. To ensure effective continuous assessment and action planning of learner's portfolios throughout their programme and final assessment within the agreed limit. To assess and mark learner's assignments, tests, and examinations within the agreed timeframe, with clear and constructive feedback using the correct documentation and criteria. To be a role model throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.
Role Expectations
We're looking for someone who loves tutoring, with experience in the Sports Coaching and Education sector, with Team Leader Management and creating exciting opportunities for their learners. You'll ideally have a track record in this sector, but we don't believe in ruling out great people. We are interested in anyone who believes they have the expertise to fit this role, but two profiles we would particularly be interested in are people with this sector or mentor experience in these roles.
Key Skills
Minimum 3 years experience in this sector Strong communicator with people skills A hunter-gatherer attitude, someone who makes it happen A good ear, someone who listens first and speaks after Experience delivering training The ability to present your ideas well
Qualifications
Previous experience working with apprenticeships is highly desirable. Experience of teaching/Coaching in schools & the National Curriculum is desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with learners, employers, and colleagues. A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning needs of all apprentices, including those with special educational requirements. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. A willingness to learn and adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs.
