Here at Active Fusion, we’re now looking for a new
Sports Development Officer
to lead on our schools events programme (in particular the
School Games ), to maintain relationships with our local schools and foster new ones so that we can deliver programmes to meet the goal of getting more young people, more active, through sport in their educational settings! Do you believe that our young people in education need more access to sport? Are you looking for a new opportunity in 2024 that brings together your passion for sport and young people? Do you want a role where the impact that you make on a daily, weekly and monthly basis can be seen? This is a blended role of development and hands-on coaching offering the ideal candidate a mixed week of: Planning for upcoming events / campaigns including the
School Games Working closely with schools on what the future programme of events needs to look like within their setting (as each school is different) Delivering PE to our local schools (approx. 2 days each week) including the planning, delivering and assessment of lessons If you've got the right experience for this role, we'll make sure that we consider you for this new role. This role is first and foremost a development role, with day-to-day coaching for a couple of days a week as part of your own outreach and to ensure that the person in this role develops solid relationships with our schools and young people. The ideal candidate may have previously worked full-time in a delivery role and may now be looking to take all of that experience into mainly a development role, that still has a couple of days of hands-on coaching. Our ideal candidate would however have: Considerable experience of working in
educational
