Job Summary The Spray Shop Supervisor will oversee the operations of the spray shop, ensuring that the products are finished to the highest quality standards. The role involves supervising a team of sprayers and finishers, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations to achieve efficient and high-quality production. This position requires technical expertise and leadership skills.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 15:30. Saturday mornings will be expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and manage a team of spray shop operatives to achieve production goals. Plan and schedule workloads to meet production deadlines. Monitor team performance, providing feedback, support, and training as needed. Oversee all finishing processes, including priming, painting, and staining. Ensure consistent quality control checks and adherence to finishing specifications. Monitor inventory levels of paints, coatings, and consumables, ensuring timely replenishment. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and inventory usage. Prepare reports on productivity, quality, and maintenance activities.

Experience and Skills: Proven experience in a spray shop or finishing environment, preferably in the woodworking industry. Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques, tools, and materials. Experience managing or supervising a team. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in a spray shop environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
