to work from Birmingham or Bristol office on a hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in office. SQL Server Database Administrator

This position is for an established and productive professional individual contributor in Information Technology, who works independently with minimal supervision. We are a large team who together, across the AUS, UK, Canada & US are responsible for significant databases & projects related to our Oracle environment. We are offering an emerging and varied role, with a stimulating range of duties and responsibilities. A hybrid work environment that includes 3 days in office and 2 days work from home. We will count on you to:

Work independently with minimal supervision. Work closely with the offshore team to ensure smooth transition of work handover if required. Resolve configuration/performance issues. Have a good understanding of active-active cluster and DR Failover knowledge. Be flexible on working hours as role is part of the On-call rotation over the weekend. What you need to have:

Previous DBA experience working with SQL Server versions 2016 and above. Experience in Installation and configuration of SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS & SSAS of SQL Version 2016 and higher. Involvement in making recommendations involving capacity planning. Planning for backup and recovery of databases. Configure Log Shipping, Mirroring, Clustering. Hands-on experience with Implementation of TDE. Knowledge or experience with Azure Key Vault will be an asset. Experience in index tuning, performance counters, and query store. T-SQL & PowerShell scripting is an asset. Good knowledge of active-active cluster, data partitioning, multi-thread environment. Troubleshooting DB related alerts. What will make you stand out:
