Job Title: Squeak & Rattle Engineer Function: Whole Vehicle - Body Acoustics (EGPK) About the Role: I am looking for a skilled and motivated Squeak & Rattle Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will support the delivery of both current and future model line test and development activities, ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all vehicle attributes. Working closely with the Attribute Technical Manager, you will play a key part in the technical development and successful delivery of the whole vehicle attribute performance, on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Attribute Target Setting:

Support the setting of attribute targets through competitor benchmarking and analysis. Development of Squeak & Rattle Attribute:

Lead the development of the squeak & rattle attribute to ensure that targets are met within budget and on time, aligning with quality standards. Problem Solving:

Lead complex problem-solving activities, including detection, root cause analysis, and countermeasure development, ensuring balanced design recommendations. Concerns Management:

Take ownership of the concerns management process, ensuring effective delivery and implementation of solutions through design functions. Test & Analysis:

Lead squeak & rattle testing and analysis on current projects, utilising on-site test rigs and external proving grounds. Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to ensure consistent delivery of attribute standards across the business. Outsource Management:

Manage relationships with key service providers and suppliers for outsourced activities. Continuous Improvement:

Support the Technical Manager in the strategic development of the Squeak & Rattle Attribute through ongoing improvement activities, identifying new methods, techniques, and technologies. What We Are Looking For: Experience:

Strong background in product or attribute development and delivery. Proven experience in technical specifications, design critique, and test development across components, systems, and whole vehicles. Hands-on experience with physical and/or virtual testing (e.g., simulation, prototype testing, and rig-based testing). Expertise in complex concern analysis, root cause investigation, and development of countermeasures. Strong subjective and objective evaluation skills, including jury evaluation studies.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to peers and senior management. A self-starter with a customer-focused mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks and delivering within project constraints. Strong collaboration and influencing skills to drive results across a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Design, Quality, and Production teams.

Qualifications:

HND/Degree or relevant experience in a field supporting squeak & rattle development.
